|
|
Hi guys,
I have an application where I need to store messages (events). Since I have plenty internal flash unused, I wonder: can I store these messages in internal flash memory ?
I have also enough RAM free to use as a (page-)buffer.
Other options are of course: using EERAM or an external flash memory.
AVR's used are Mega32 and Mega644.
Any idea's ?
Cheers,
Nard

Hi,
If you really want to use the AVR's Flash, have a look at the Bascom bootloader examples.
I would recmmend using a external eeprom.
Regards

Keep in mind that Flash only has an endurance of 10.000 write cycles. In general, AVR chip design ("Havard Architecture") is not made for holding variable data in program memory. |

Found 5 pcs. AT45DB041D-SU and one AT45DB161D-SU. That should do.
I will look into the SUSI project. Thanks.
